Call for Papers\u00a0 ESSAY COMPETITION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Closing date: 15 July 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The\u00a0East Asian Journal of Popular Culture<\/em>\u00a0(EAJPC) is soliciting paper submissions on\u00a0\u00a0Taiwan-related topics dealing with Popular Culture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This call is sponsored by the European Association of Taiwan Studies (EATS e.V.)\u00a0https:\/\/www.eats-taiwan.eu\/home<\/a>.\u00a0 Published writers will be financially compensated up to 400euro\/paper.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Interested researchers who hold a Ph.D. at the time of paper submission are invited to submit a completed\u00a0Word file<\/strong>\u00a0of the paper with max. word length of 8500 words, an abstract 6-8 keywords, and a short bio.<\/p>\n

Shortlisted candidates\u00a0must provide a proof of valid current membership for either EATS, North American Taiwan Studies Association (NATSA) or Japan Association for Taiwan Studies (JATS).<\/p>\n

Manuscripts can be submitted until 15 July 2021, 23.59pm Taipei time closing date.<\/p>\n

Eligible articles should not have previously been published, nor be under consideration by other publications,\u00a0nor be submitted to another essay competition simultaneously.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be a designated review committee consisting of EAJPC board members and eligible EATS members supervising the blind review process.<\/p>\n

Shortlisted papers will be announced at the end of September to mid-October 2021.<\/p>\n

Publication dates will be in EAJPC August 2022 and\/or April 2023 editions.<\/p>\n
