Given its regional and international geostrategic position, Taiwan may feel the effects of AI more than many other societies. The International Taiwan Studies Center at NTNU, in cooperation with the International Journal of Taiwan Studies, is thus holding an AI and Taiwan Studies Forum on Saturday, May 24th, as an urgent call for the broad field of Taiwan studies to question and examine how AI may affect all aspects of society, culture, and political life, positively or negatively, and to offer insights into how Taiwan might respond to these challenges while embracing the opportunities. Presentations will discuss the role of AI in issues such as Taiwan\u2019s national and information security, big data, Taiwanese language education, media, and publishing industries. All interested scholars and students are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
