Workshop on Taiwan Studies: Taiwan – Past and Present(August 26-31, 2013)

The workshop is co-organized by ITSC and Masaryk University, Brno. The aim of the workshop is to promote Taiwan Studies among Eastern and Western European students from Chinese Studies and other fields. The main emphasis of this workshop will be on Taiwanese culture and society, including issues in Taiwan history, literature, film, and contemporary politics. Classes in this workshop will take the form of lectures and seminars and require active participation from the students (discussion, presentations). Students will be also offered information about networking possibilities within Europe (EATS, Poland, UK) and study opportunities in Taiwan.
